As a freelance graphic designer, I have been awarded both the Shopify Partner status and an Adobe Muse Site of the Day ribbon! What a fabulous honour! What this means for my Clients is that my work is recognised by industry and I am achieving Client work to a high standard.
Maintaining my professional membership with the
Design Institute of Australia (DIA) again demonstrates my commitment to the design industry and ensures I stay up to date with 'design thought leaders'.
After working in the corporate world for 15 years, I steered my career in a more 'creative' direction! Completing the Diploma of Commercial Art in Graphic Design, I then opened my freelance studio and began taking on Clients.
From coffee roasters, to chefs, landscape architects, physiotherapists, financial planners, commercial interior designers and many many more, my Client list is as diverse as it is long!
After looking into many and varied Graphic Design Courses, I selected and completed the highly praised and industry recognised Diploma of Commercial Art, Graphic Design through CATC in 2011.
Maintaining a diverse Client base, I have demonstrated experience in the varied applications of Graphic Design. These include, packaging, web design, interactive PDF documents, email campaigns, social media, marketing pieces, logo + brand identity, retail + signage design, way finding and ambient design - just to mention a few!
Surviving childhood as the 'middle child' of 5, I now have a family of my own! With a super supportive partner who is overly detail focused and very 'sensible', (totally opposite to me - an Engineer, that makes sense), our lives are crazy busy and full of fun, laughter, insane schedules and lots and lots of coffee!
Our beautiful family lives at the beach, we camp on the beach and surf in the beach. Like many West Australians, our life revolves around the ocean and we feel extremely lucky to live here!
Apart from the beach, I attend yoga classes (when I can) and you'll often find me at the dog beach with our newest family member - Bushido the Japanese Akita! Now there's a dog that will keep you moving.
As much as I hate swimming laps, with an awesome new pool facility on the beach and within walking distance, I guess I may have to give it a go? Or at least some of the HIIT classes in the pool - that sounds way more fun!
Oh, and I start my paleo eating plan every Monday and by Wednesday have given up again.
One of my very favourite things to do is dine out or simply catch up with friends over coffee (someone say coffee?...). As a freelance designer, I enjoy any excuse to head out of the studio and refresh my design mojo!
Everyone that knows me, will tell you my personal brand includes the odd glass of champers or two! My absolute favourite bottle of bubbles lately is... Vermentino Frizzante by Carpe Diem, a local vineyard in Margaret River region of WA. OMG - unbelievably good!
